Religious education

Some people say that the LDS Church should follow the example of the Catholic Church in offering education. I say "no way". Here is why.

I should not that NOW is a strong supporter of same-gender marriage. On the other hand Catholic Bishops were if anything more vocal in opposition to same-gender marriage than Latter-day Saint leaders in California. The Catholics have a major problem of disconnect between the teachings of the Church and the beliefs of the members. If this is what Catholic education has come to mean, I see no reason why the LDS Church should try to find a place in it.
